Severe Weather

With July comes severe weather. On July 15th, we received a hail and wind event that caused damage to both corn and soybeans in the area. With this particular storm, it was very evident there would be an adverse affect on crop health and we can see that by comparing crop health from July 14th to July 20th. The north side of the farm was clearly more affected based off the imagery and corresponded with what I saw scouting the field. It will be interesting to see based off the upcoming crop health index images if the soybeans maintain poor health season long, or if they increase in health as the summer proceeds.
